Privacy Policy

Short version: we store what is needed to run a membership and remember where you got to in a class. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything about you.
What we store
- Your account — email address, and a display name if you set one.
- Your membership state — whether the membership is active, the plan, when you joined, and an identifier linking you to your billing record.
- Your progress — which classes you have watched and roughly where you got to, so a class can resume where you left it.
- Basic technical logs — ordinary server request logs, which include IP addresses, kept for security and debugging.
- A legacy identifier — if you were a member on our previous platform, the account id you had there, so your membership could be carried across.
- Playback telemetry — see the section below.
We do not store card numbers. We never see them: payment details go directly to Stripe.
Who processes it
- Supabase — accounts, sign-in, and the database holding the above.
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions, receipts. Stripe holds the payment method and its own record of your transactions.
- Mux — video hosting, playback, and the playback telemetry described below.
- Our email provider — delivers sign-in links and account email. It handles your address and the contents of those messages.
- Vercel — hosting for the site itself.
Each of these is a processor acting on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Analytics and playback telemetry
There is no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no ad-tech, and no cross-site advertising tracking on this site. We do not run Google Analytics or anything like it.
One thing does need naming, because it is real: our video player sends playback telemetry to Mux, the service that hosts the video. That covers things like whether a class started, stalled, or buffered, the quality it played at, and your device and browser — and it is tagged with your account identifier, so it is not anonymous. We use it to tell whether video is working properly and which parts of a class people replay. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
Cookies
We set cookies to keep you signed in. They arrive when you sign in and are cleared when you sign out.
The video player also sets a Mux cookie that identifies your playback session for the telemetry described above. It is not an advertising cookie and it does not follow you to other sites, but it is not a sign-in cookie either, and you should know it is there.
We email you about the things that run the membership: sign-in links, receipts, billing problems, and occasional service notices such as a platform change. If we ever send a marketing newsletter it will have its own unsubscribe, and unsubscribing from it will not stop the account emails you need.
If you give us your email for class updates, we store that address, where you signed up and when, and whether you have asked to be removed. No class update emails are being sent yet. You can ask to be removed at anthony@kinjaz.com.
How long we keep it
Account and progress data is kept while your account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your account and progress. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require — that part we cannot delete on request.
Your choices
Write to anthony@kinjaz.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account deleted. Depending on where you live you may have formal rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, and to object to certain processing; we honour these requests regardless of where you live, because keeping two standards is a good way to get one of them wrong.
Children
Kinjaz Dojo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so rather than quietly bumping the date at the top.
